I was walking alone, at the time of dawn,
Abandoned by others and was left out.
My wet eyes gazed at a far off lawn.
Inflamed, sore, aching; heard my heart’s shout.
My unsteady steps with the feeling of nothingness,
Digged in deep, expanding the hole of emptiness.
‘Why all the promises were false and fake?’
‘Were they made, just for God’s sake?’
I heard some noise, and my pondering stopped.
Someone was approaching. Am I dreaming now?
I turned around and she hugged my tightly.
Wiped my tears, the hope shined brightly.
Came closer and she whispered to me,
‘Can’t leave you, you’re my best friend. Don’t you see?’
